Education:

Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies – Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, CA

Master of Divinity – Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA

Background:

I was raised as a PK (Pastor’s Kid) and grew up in the church.  I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have God in my life, but I do remember the time when I felt God calling me to ministry.  I was 14 and had gone on my first mission trip to Mexico with my youth group.  I realized on that trip that there was so much to be done in the world and God needed leaders to spread the gospel.  I knew then that God called me to be a leader and got actively involved in the student leadership in my youth group and church.

I decided to attend Azusa Pacific University and majored in Biblical Studies.  At APU, I was involved in numerous leadership positions.  I led a small group to Mexico, led worship for several youth groups around the area, and was a Resident Advisor for my junior and senior year.  My time at APU allowed me to mature in my faith through rigorous bible and theology classes, but also experienced community and fellowship through my friends and fellow classmates.

After APU, God was calling me to seminary and decided to stay in the SoCal area at Fuller Theological Seminary.  At Fuller, I fine-tuned my ministry talents and gifts.  It was also at Fuller that I began to feel passionate about the younger generation.  I realized that the youth is the future of the church and that the church cannot survive when young people are neglected and ignored.

My ministry background includes being a music and worship intern at Medford First Church of the Nazarene, youth worship leader at New Life Assembly of God in Duarte and at Pomona First Baptist Church, and a pastoral intern at NewSong Church in San Dimas.  This is my first pastoral assignment and I am excited and thrilled to be with the youth at HHBC.
